Eco-Friendly and Sustainable Design

I try to work on projects that focus on sustainable design and use eco-friendly methods and materials. Whether this is making a re-usable final product, like the re-usable shopping totes, or using digital design and advertising where possible to reduce paper waste, I will try to help you choose a more environmentally friendly product for the design.

A lot of customers now are focussing on their impact on the environment, choosing a company based on whether their packaging is recyclable or a company that aligns with their own morals and opinions when it comes to environmental issues. Using sustainable design for aspects of your business increases brand awareness within these groups as well as helping to reduce your environmental impact as a company.

Custom Designs

Sometimes it can be hard to find exactly what you're looking for on the internet, whether it's a symbol drawn in a specific style or a collage of images to give you the perfect image for your brand. I can work with you to create the design that you want, whether it's working from an image you've already designed yourself but giving it that finishing touch and making it suitable for printing, or starting from the beginning and working with you to create the images that you want.

Working With You All the Way

Your company is your creation, you want everything to come out exactly as you imagined. I work with you and contact you or update as often as you want along the way, making sure we're on the same page and that the project is going in the right direction. Staying in contact means less revisions of the final project as small changes can be made along the way, or even looking in a completely new direction, saving you time and money in the long run.

My flexible working hours also mean that any communication can be fitted around when it's best for you. Whether this is late at night when the children are in bed or the middle of the afternoon when you have time for a meeting.

Combining Traditional Design Techniques with Modern Technology

A large part of the design process can be researching existing products and finding images to use. I have experience in sourcing royalty free images in a range of topics and researching existing products to create mood boards or reports if you would like for the design process and future reference in later projects for your business.

Throughout the design process I use traditional techniques, such as sketching a design and drawing elements by hand, that means I can create a range of designs quickly and see where the project is going. I can send these to you along the way so you can choose the right path without wasting time on the designs that aren't what you're looking for. I use a design tablet for the computer that means any hand drawn elements can easily be recreated within your final design.
